Supplier Code of Ethics

This Code adapts CFStream Trading’s supplier ethics framework to the ASTONESA natural-stone supply chain. It is intended to complement purchase orders, supplier specifications, quality agreements and applicable law.

CFSTREAM TRADING, operating the ASTONESA trademark, seeks to develop a high-quality, responsible and traceable natural-stone supply chain. This Supplier Code of Ethics (the “Code”) sets minimum expectations for suppliers, quarries, extraction partners, processors, fabricators, subcontractors, packers, inspectors, logistics providers and other business partners (“Supplier Partners”).

Supplier Partners are expected to communicate equivalent standards to relevant subcontractors and to cooperate in reasonable verification where requested.

Supplier Partners shall comply with laws and permits applicable to their activities, including those relating to quarrying, land use, labour, health and safety, environment, customs, export controls, sanctions, anti-corruption, taxation and product compliance.

Any material regulatory, safety, environmental or licensing issue that could affect supply, legality, reputation or product conformity must be disclosed promptly to the relevant ASTONESA/CFSTREAM TRADING representative.

• Conduct business honestly, fairly and transparently.
• Do not offer, promise, request or accept bribes, kickbacks, facilitation payments or improper advantages.
• Avoid undisclosed conflicts of interest involving employees, agents, customers, authorities or other business partners.
• Maintain appropriate controls over gifts, hospitality, commissions, agents and intermediaries.
• Compete fairly and comply with applicable competition laws.

Supplier Partners shall maintain accurate records of transactions, production, quantities, inspections, quality controls and shipping documentation. Records must not be falsified or misleading.

Where requested for compliance, traceability or quality purposes, Supplier Partners shall provide accurate information concerning stone origin, quarry or production lot, processing location, subcontractors and relevant certificates. Such information may be treated as confidential and does not authorise disclosure to ASTONESA customers or third parties.

• Meet the agreed specifications, tolerances, finishes, dimensions, packaging and marking requirements.
• Use appropriate quality-control processes for block selection, sawing, resin treatment, calibration, polishing, finishing, cutting, packing and loading where applicable.
• Do not substitute stone, change origin, mix unauthorised lots or alter agreed treatments without written approval.
• Promptly disclose defects, breakage, yield problems, delays or other conditions that may affect conformity or delivery.
• Preserve lot identification and documentation necessary for traceability and claim investigation.

Supplier Partners shall provide safe and healthy working conditions appropriate to quarrying, stone processing and heavy-material handling. This includes suitable risk assessment, machine guarding, lifting procedures, traffic management, personal protective equipment, training and emergency preparedness.

Particular attention should be given to risks associated with respirable crystalline silica and stone dust, noise, vibration, wire saws, cutting machinery, explosives where legally used, heavy blocks, slabs, cranes and forklifts. Exposure controls must comply with applicable occupational health and safety requirements.

• Prohibit forced labour, debt bondage, human trafficking and child labour.
• Respect applicable minimum age, wage, working-time and employment laws.
• Treat workers with dignity and prohibit harassment, violence and unlawful discrimination.
• Respect lawful freedom of association and worker representation rights.
• Provide lawful employment documentation and do not retain workers’ identity documents except where legally required and voluntarily agreed.

Supplier Partners shall manage environmental impacts responsibly and comply with applicable permits. Relevant practices may include quarry rehabilitation, responsible land use, controlled water use, dust and noise reduction, waste segregation, slurry management, energy efficiency and prevention of unlawful discharge or dumping.

Where reasonably available, Supplier Partners should support measurement and continuous improvement of resource efficiency, waste recovery, emissions and environmental performance.

Supplier Partners must protect confidential information belonging to CFSTREAM TRADING, ASTONESA, customers and other partners. Customer identities, pricing, product strategies, project information, drawings, stock data, sourcing information and commercial terms must not be disclosed except as authorised or required by law.

Supplier Partners must not present themselves as authorised agents, representatives or exclusive partners of ASTONESA or CFSTREAM TRADING unless such status has been granted in writing.

Material subcontracting that may affect origin, product quality, confidentiality, compliance or delivery should be disclosed in advance where required by the purchase order, supplier specification or quality agreement. Supplier Partners remain responsible for the performance of authorised subcontractors within their control.

Supplier Partners shall comply with applicable sanctions, export-control, customs and anti-money-laundering requirements. They shall provide accurate shipping, origin and customs documentation and shall not knowingly route transactions through prohibited parties or destinations.

CFSTREAM TRADING may request reasonable information, certifications, photographs, records or access for quality, compliance and traceability verification, subject to legitimate confidentiality, safety and site-security restrictions. Where a material issue is identified, the Supplier Partner is expected to investigate root cause and implement corrective action within an agreed timeframe.

Supplier Partners should report suspected serious violations of this Code, fraud, bribery, human-rights abuse, product substitution, deliberate falsification, safety risks or unlawful conduct to their usual CFSTREAM TRADING/ASTONESA contact or through the official company contact channel. Reports should be made in good faith and supported by available facts.

Depending on severity, frequency and remediation, non-compliance may result in corrective-action requirements, enhanced inspection, suspension of new orders, rejection of affected goods or termination of the business relationship, subject to contractual rights and applicable law.

We recognise that responsible supply-chain performance develops over time. Supplier Partners are encouraged to identify practical improvements in quality, traceability, worker safety, environmental performance, waste reduction and transparency, and to raise those improvements proactively with ASTONESA/CFSTREAM TRADING.
